I’ve been binge watching the Michael Jordan documentary called The Last Dance and all I can say is WOW.
It is the fascinating story of the rise of the 1990s Chicago Bulls when Phil Jackson was coaching Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman.
I love watching people at the top of their game. Not just in sports, but in business and life too.
One of my favorite things to do is study successful people, and the part that interests me the most is not what it’s like when they are at the top, but what they had to overcome to get there.
Michael Jordan, for example, didn’t make his high school basketball team. It was devastating for him, but could you imagine if he had taken that as a sign that basketball just wasn’t for him?
He could have decided he wasn’t good enough to keep going, but instead, he made the decision to work on his skills all summer and try again.
And, of course, the rest is history, but he used that initial rejection as fuel for the rest of his career and never stopped relentlessly working on improving his skills, even when he was considered to be the best basketball player of all time.
A good reminder for us real estate agents.
This got me thinking about who else we could learn from and how their pursuit to be the best at their craft could help us real estate agents too.
Believe it or not, Oprah, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Brady and Jeff Bezos can teach us a lot about how to succeed in real estate.
A varied bunch of personalities for sure, but they each have relevant stories to tell real estate agents when it comes to success.
